Need Support? We got you covered.

Hi, there.

Maybe you’ve landed on this website and you’re hoping to find a good therapist. We get it - good therapists are hard to come by. After all, there are a lotttt of us in the Upstate of SC but how do you know if anyone you call will actually get it - get you?

Or, maybe the really awful talk track that plays in your head, 24/7 just won’t SHUT.UP. You’re over it.

Or, perhaps, you’ve been hurt by the people who were meant to keep your safe. It’s created patterns in other relationships that you can see but, goodness gracious, you can’t seem to make it stop.

Or, what if you’re one of those people who seem to attract the most painful types of relationships. You can’t figure out why you keep dating the same version of different partners, but it leaves you feeling unsure of yourself, and it hurts. Really hurts.

Or, maybe, you’re over *gestures around wildly* allllll of this and you need a place where you can bring your stress, your snark, your impulsive choices, your much-needed but hard to set boundaries, and figure out, “What am I even doing?”

Or, maybe you’re a parent and you feel so disconnected from your kid or teen and you’re not sure what needs to happen, but you know that “I can’t do this alone. I need support. I need to know how to reach them - those walls are high and I’ve made mistakes. Where do I even start?”

Or, possibly, you’re feeling so disconnected from your person. You’re tired of the arguments about sex, money, parenting, how the dishes were washed, or god knows whatever else brings on the tension - you need to find a way forward. There are so many on-ramps to fighting but not enough exit ramps and you’re so dang tired.

Hey, we hear you. We’re so sorry for the pain you’re carrying. We want you to know - you were never alone.

As a local therapist and supervisor, I’ve (Rachel) come to love the community I’ve found here in the Upstate and I’ve realized, that if we’re going to flourish together, then we’ve got work to do. The best way to do this is to create a culture of healing and belonging in the Upstate and I can’t do this alone.

As such, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve found and vetted therapists to join my practice who share the same inclusive values that I have. Together, we’re jointly committed to seeing our clients find belonging within their self and outside of their self. We want to take part in a culture that says, “There’s room for you here - everyone fits. Let’s figure this out together.”

Work with Heidi

Hi, there. I'm Heidi Fox (she/her) and I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker CP (LISW-CP, SC license no. 12631), originally from Seattle,WA, then New Orleans, LA. I earned my Bachelors of Social Work from University of Louisiana Monroe in 2003 and my Masters of Social Work from Louisiana State University in 2005. I spent 15 years working with heart transplant and hospice patients, supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most vulnerable moments. My work in that setting deeply shapes how I show up as a therapist - grounded, compassionate, and attuned to the emotional realities people often carry beneath the surface.

I love how EFT helps people better understand their emotions, connect with their deeper need, and build stronger more secure relationships. In our work together, I aim to create a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and begin to shift patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others, I’m here to support you in building greater clarity, resilience, and connection.

I’ve called Greenville home for the past 8 years and I genuinely love being a part of this community. When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring nature, creative projects, and spending as much time as possible with my wife and our two teen aged daughters.

If you're ready to do the hard but necessary work of coming back to yourself or to your relationship, reach out to me to schedule an appointment. heidi@restoretherapysc.com or 864-256-4072

Work with Jennifer

My name is Jennifer Horton (she/her), and I’m a licensed master social worker (LMSW, license no. 16419). I earned my Master of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and in the course of my career have practiced in a range of inpatient and outpatient settings including a major medical hospital and a nonprofit mental health agency. I work with teens through older adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and complex trauma, as well as folks navigating overwhelm, burnout and/or significant life transitions. Most of my clients are people who are feeling lost or disconnected from their true selves and their full potential, and need a little help finding their way back home. I’m currently pursuing training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, or EFT (therapists and their acronyms, amIright?), which uses the science of attachment and emotions to help you return to a sense of safety and wholeness within yourself, within your relationships, and ultimately, with your life. My approach is highly integrative, combining my experience and expertise with your own.

As a therapist, I operate from the belief that you are the expert of your own life, because in my experience, people usually know what they need better than anyone else. They just need some help to hear that wise voice inside, trust it, and act on it. This idea can be uncomfortable -- Many of my clients are convinced that they’re broken, that they’re the problem, and that their coping patterns are shameful. As a neurodivergent queer person, I know a little bit about what it’s like to be made to feel like you’re the problem, so I get it. But here’s the thing: You. Make. Sense. Your mind, body, and nervous system are smart. They might be a little dusty from the residue of life and life experiences, and they might have sustained some bumps and bruises and gotten thrown off course, but that’s not brokenness, that’s actually pretty adaptive. And it also happens to be where our work comes in. Together, we’ll examine those bumps and bruises, take a Swiffer to that dust, and uncover the light and the wisdom that have always been there underneath. Reach out to schedule an appointment to begin reconnecting with what has been within you all along. - jennifer@restoretherapysc.com or 864-256-0842

Please note that I am a licensed social worker (LMSW) working towards becoming an LISW-CP, which means I receive on-going supervision from my supervisor, Jennifer Wolff (LISW-CP/S, license no. 4731). The purpose of this supervision is to make me more effective at what I already do, and to support my clients well. Anything discussed in supervision remains confidential.
